Just like in other areas, scams are also common in the real estate market, some common scams are related to unpermitted property, over valued property, property that has pending court cases,etc. Have you ever become a victim.

In some places like my country, someone would sell you a landed property that he himself is not the owner. As you start developing, the real owner now shows up.

Often married cheater couples are targeting single investors and professionals living alone for real estate fraud, and some married women falsely claim to own the property of single women.

Two common real estate scams i know of are
- phantom rentals: scammers advertising properties that do not exist
- bait and switch: scammers showing a different property from the one they advertiseed.

I have witnessed that someone buying a property that had already been sold to someone else.
