Because closed layout leads to a conductive and peaceful environment means every department and production setup are there in the firm and it creates noisy environment to prevent this layouts of closed ones are prefered

For them to be able to work effectively, they need a close space where they can focus with less distractions. It also gives a feeling of professionalism to the company as well.

It gives privacy when working. It is best for people like us that can't multi-task so we don't have distractions. That's how I want my own office to be.

I think open spaces are now becoming a trend in most companies. Some multinational companies do this to encourage harmony at work and where the bosses can immediately interact. In my case I still prefer a closed lay out as it gives me privacy when doing some important and confidential business.

You are right. Some companies are detaching that closeted office setting because it didn't allow for teamwork and collaboration among employees of an organization.

Most companies here have open space layout. Each staff has individual booth built with partitions. This is to avoid disturbances from people passing by. For managers, they usually have a room office.

In my country, general line level staff work in detached offices that look like a cubicle with a workstation. The next worker is just next. One staff can easily raise a hand to get something from the other.
