I didn't know much about the word count when I first joined but thanks to @Starmix for explaining things to me. I also think setting those limits are necessary for the forum to avoid unnecessary comments and spamming.

Word count has never been an issue with me. It's always good to have word count. It's one way ro ensure quality posting and avoid spamming. I want to write a post or comment that seems complete and is able to convey the message in a meaningful and understandable way. We needs words to do that.

Its actually a good thing there is a word count though, this would prevent people from just dropping one word or a few words just so they can earn some points.
