Russian-Ukraine war; Who is right and who is wrong

The war between Russia and Ukraine is quite disturbing and have created serious international tensions. The two countries have continue to stand their ground citing a lot of reasons for their actions. Ukraine claim that they have the right to decide where they want to belong. That it is their right to belong to NATO. This argument to me is valid . On the other hand, Russia government claimed that Ukraine membership of NATO will bring United States close to their border and such risk they will not allow. In my opinion, Ukraine have right to belong to NATO. Ukraine is an independent country. On the other, Russia government claim still have some valid reason
In your opinion, who is right and who is wrong?

In my opinion no one is right or wrong its just there ego they should have come together for a proper discussion

Whatever motivation may have or still does exist politicly, the basic fact is Russia invaded Ukraine and has been killing innocent women and children and destroying their homes and Ukraine is simply defending themselves. It's not hard when you look at it from the humanitarian point of view.

Russia is the invader. They initiated the war and killed many civilians. Ukraine is just defending. In any case, I hope the war will end soon.

I am not going to choose to either side of these countries. All I want is to stop the war.

I think Ukraine miscalculated. You don't get to dare a supposed super power like Russia and don't expect force.

As it stands now, so many things in Russia are on standstill because of the war. And the war is not turning out as easy as Russia thought.
