Sure! It is a very lucrative means of passive income. Developers of utility software are smiling to banks . Also gaming softwares are equally making tones of dollars .
I agree that offering software as a service is a great source of passive income. But to retain your customers, you need to upgrade your software including adding new features or do bug fix from time to time.
The same thing is applicable to me because I have seen quite a number of people engage in this type of gig but I have not given it a try.
It seems to be a very good activity to engage in to make money.
Offering such services on freelancing sites is a very good business.
The business for selling of software is very profitable indeed. I have see so many people earning from their softwares and getting passive income as it is a thing they initially make and earn from it continuously till the internet dies.
Yes this is indeed a great way to generate good passive income but the truth of the matter is that nor everyone can do this. To be able to create your own software, you would need to be a programmer yourself or enlist the help of one.

Canva itself as a SaaS business, you sure can make money by using canva but it wouldn't be a SaaS business. You can use Canva to create graphics and digital products and sell on other platforms to make money.
