Saying no in your business

I have come across various business owners who usually finds it hard to say no to their customers when they ask for credits or even when they know they would not be able to deliver on time. They assume saying no would drive their customers aways. What's your take on this?

There might be many reasons why they may be hesitating. They may not want to damage the relationships with the customers and they know how important the customers are to them.

You must set rules and hold it. If you don't customers will exploit you.
You did said the right words. Some customers can abuse the business owners' kindness. This is not a fair game to deal with them. If it is not really possible, then we need to be firm to saying no to them.

That part of saying no to delivery of a product? I was told that you don't ever tell a customer that you out of stock. Accept the supply and source for the products to deliver. Now, that's where networking as a business comes in.

I have learnt to say no even to my family members as a business person. You don't run a business like that or else you would crash. Be bold to turn down any thing that would affect the health of your business.

You are right. In the business world, you can never say no when it comes having out-of-stock products. That makes the networking works without any hassles. It is the reason why we need to find ways to strengthen our connections to others.

I was told that if you say you are out of stock twice to a customer, that customer would not take you as a serious business person. I was taught that even if you are out of stock, don't let a customer know.
