For me I can't consider starting that kind of business online. This is because groceries are perishable and waiting for customers to buy them from online would not work for me. Building customer base online is not something that you can achieve over night. I would rather start it offline and build the online presence little by little and after I have got more customers Online I can start that.

It is possible in western countries where ICT technology have taken us a step further to advancement. I doubt if this can be profitable in developing countries. If I need groceries, I will simply buy it from the street without wasting my time waiting for online stores to deliver the groceries to me.

Personally in my opinion I believe that selling groceries online is something that can be good because I've seen a lot of online stores that they are being sold on which a lot of people buy from.

You just have to be in connection with your target audience and advertise your groceries to them and direct them from your social media pages to where they can easily order for them

Like @cherry123 has already said, you would need to do a lot of social media marketing to be able to succeed with this business. It is a business that can work.
