Selling Ice cream on roadside

Amul mostly have their booths to sell items like ice cream, butter, bread and milk, I never saw a vendor selling brand of Amul selling in a cart in the streets

They sell Ice cream here like that, although we have its store at around 2km from my home but when they are selling ice cream on streets then its better as it saves time

Selling ice-cream at the road sides is only rampant in big cities in Nigeria. You find a lot of people doing it because of its huge demand especially during dry season and children school sessions. It is a lucrative business.

Yes its popular during summers here too and its demand decreases in winter or even in rainy season

Selling ice cream is good especially when bought on a sunny day, it helps cool the body down. A location where there are lots of kids around would be a great place to setup your ice cream business

Although it's considered as low level way to earn but they do earn decent money as they don't have to pay any tax and can make at least double of their investment and are their own boss.

It is indeed a low-level way to make money and I don't think they can make decent amount of money in a day

@Ginger I don't even get what you meant by low level in your opening post. There is no hustle that is low level as far as it is legit. So far you make money from it and pay your bills, it is not a low level hustle. Ice cream business is a very honourable and lucrative business.

Low level means selling food on the street. It does not look pleasing and reputed so it's a low paying job.

@Ginger it is wrong to call a business that kind of name. That can make people that are doing such business to feel bad about doing it. It is better than having to get involved in crime to earn a living. It is a good business and a legit hustle.

I know you are right. I'm not telling them anything but I just mean it's a little tough for me to convince myself earning like that

By the way, ice cream sales is a very good business. Kids would always rally round and patronize you. Even elderly ones don't stop patronizing ice creams. With dedication and consistency, it is a very profitable business.

Over here in my country there are so many people that are into this kind of business and they usually make use of bicycle to sell those ice cream along the road and within the general neighborhood.

It can be started with low capital and there is no risk. You can create your own ice cream or buy from someone and sell

The problem with selling ice cream on the roadside is that, it is seasonal in Oriental countries like where I live. When summer is over, it is somehow hard to peddle it on the street.

Actually they are so smart. I have seen some of those that sell Ice cream in summers and other things like fast food in winters
