Senior Discounts

My father's 65th birthday is today, and he just hit the age where most places that have senior discounts, will now officially give him a senior discount for his age.

At what age do you think getting a senior discount should become available? Where we lived in Nevada, the various restaurants would offer it, starting at the age of 55, while most other places I have seen, would officially give it at 65. Personally, I think 60 should be the start of senior discounts.

In Philippines age 60 is the start of a retirement age. Retirees are entitled of discounts.

There is also an extension here up to age 5 however the employee must put it in writing that he or she prefers age 65 to retire.

In my city, people who reach 65 are given a senior card. They are entitled to discounts offered by some shops and taking public transportation.

I felt bad that senior citizens in my country does not feel being one. The discount scheme is limited.

In my country, there is nothing like senior discounts. The elderly are even treated with contempt by businesses.

In our country, you need to be 70 years for make and 65 years for females to get senior discounts. My father has crossed 7o years so he gets discounts

It is 60 years old here. I am not sure if they have lowered the age minimum to acquire discounts.

I wasn't even aware there was anything like senior's discount. Anyways I think 65 to 70 should be an okay age.

I don't think we have such in my country but if we do then it should be frim the age of 60
