Sharing a business secret with a partner

You did not clarify the type of partner whether it is business or relationship partner. Everything depends on trust though humans are so unreliable. You should do a critical examination of the person's previous behaviour before letting the cat out of the bag.
Like every other thing, if the partner has proven to deserve the trust, you can share your business secret with him or her. Emphasis on proven to deserve trust.
If your partner is 100% involved in your business I believe that there is nothing wrong with sharing your business secret with him or her because they will always be there to support you.
You are right. A partner who is fully involved in your business deserves to know your business secrets because she is a stakeholder. You don't expose business secrets to a partner who is not committed to the business.
When you conduct any kind of business with anyone, you have to share things related to business. This is an inevitable thing. Keeping secrets will damage the partnership in the business.
I agree with you. If you signed a contract to have a partner, then there is no need to keep any secrets from him or her. It is a mutual way to help boost their business. Secrecy is not the key factor of doing so.

It all depends on how the circumstances and personality of our partner. Sometimes there are partners who are annoying but stick around for a reason. If our partner is a good person, willing to work together, can be trusted then there's nothing wrong with sharing business secrets with him. But personally I believe more in relatives or family than in my partner.
It depends on how much you trust the partner personally though, i would advice you keep certain things to yourself cause anything can happen. I have heard of cases where partners and business associates break off to start off something about themselves.
Personally I can't Share a business secret with anybody including the business partners. This is because I have seen it to so many folks that partners use the secrets learned from you and steal other resources from you and start their own businesses, overthrowing you out of the business.
I don't think there is any thing wrong with sharing your business secret with your partner if the person has knowledge about the business and he or she is a reasonable person
Some business partners would steal the same secrets and apply them to their own projects therefore resulting to you in losses as they would go to their projects and left you there alone struggling as they would have withdrawn their shares from the business too.
There are times that we need to keep something to oneself. It also the same principle that our lives are not an open book. It means we cannot bring out all the secrets on the table if the partners cannot be trusted.
Sharing your secret with your business partner depends on the nature of the business and the type of person the partner is. But generally I think it's better to keep the business secret to yourself
