Should a man be the primary bread winner of a family?

In most cultures, there is so much pressure on men to take up the responsibility of providing financially for the family. As a person, do you think a man should be the primary bread winner of the family?

Yes the man is the head, and as the head, it is his duty to provide and protect the family. Yes the woman can assist and bring in as well if she has. But the man has to be at the forefront.

Everything should go in balance, everyone do have their own responsibility. If women start earning and man remain sleeping, then who will take care of children. They need extra attention. Women are doing job here too, but she has other responsibilities also, so man must try to lead the role.

It's not happening in my place. There is equal sharing not a man that's absurd. There should be equal distribution of what to pay. It's not anymore true today that's it's only the man to carry the financial burden.
