These days it is becoming rare for companies to train their employees to become professionals. Most companies today would rather find someone with years of experience than train people. One major reason why most companies do not train staff is because it is becoming really hard to find truly loyal employees. There have been cases where after years of training, these staff would pick up better opportunities as soon as they come across one. Another reason is that most companies do not have the time and resources to start training their staff. What's your take on this issue? Do you think companies should still invest in training more staff or not?

In as much as sometimes after companies train employees, the employees get to run away to seek better offers or opportunities somewhere else, is still doesn't give a justifiable reason why companies shouldn't train their employees, at least it will help to add value to the company.

I think Human Resource personnel should be well equipped in doing these series of trainings to their employees. At some point they do not need to spend much money, since it is internal way of enhancing the skills of their employees.

It's essential for a company to do that if that want workers skilled and competent. They are the immediate tools for a better business flow sales.

You have a point, but these days in other to add value, the company tends to go for professionals with years of experience, making it hard for newbies to secure a job.

Our company still spend money and time in training employees. It's a part of job, as employee gets trained it's only going to help in the organisation function better.
That's nice, do these employees sign a contract with the company? Like have seen cases where the employees are made to sign an agreement before going through training.

I agree with you. Some companies prefer applicants who are well-skilled in their previous jobs. The competition is really tough, especially these days.

When the training costs are very expensive, companies don't want to invest but hire already experienced employees. I still train my staff though since I train them myself.
