A successful salesperson knows the strengths and weaknesses of competing products. Do you think that knowing your competitors products, helps to sell what you are selling? Could be like being in an office supplies store. Knowing which competitor products is worse off than your store's own products, might potentially help boost sales.

It should be for the companies to know the competitors' products. It is more applicable if they have the same field of businesses. It is also a part in conducting a business feasibility study.

For me, I would disguise and buy my competitors produces too. That's to help know the quality that he is operating at so that I don't lose out in the market.

It is of utmost importance to know the products of your competitors. You need to know your strengths and weaknesses relative to your competitors. If your competitors are selling products which are of better quality than yours, you will lose your customers.

It is always very important for you to know what your competitors are doing in the market especially with their product because it is what determines how customers will look at what they are buying from both of you in the business.

You must not just know but possibly consume the products of your competitor. And if it is a successful competitor, you can have a clue of how your products should be.

Definitely, how can you be able to compete if you do not know a thing about your competition. There are some who even go as far as using products from their competition so they can be able to improve theirs.

I agree with you. How can you compete with the other companies if not knowing their products. We need to be alert and vigilant with this concern. If not, we cannot able to cope with the competitors.

Not just knowing, you have to be monitoring the products of your competitor too. That's so you can know the improvement he or she is making and respond appropriately with your products.
