There are several persons today who have the capital to start small but they do not. They feel a business can only excel if they have huge capital to start the way they feel comfortable with. While starting small might not be easy, it is not always a bad thing. Starting small gives you enough room to learn, make mistakes and grow.

There are even cases where by there is enough capital to start big but they still choose to start small just to be able to manage the level of risk. If the business goes well, they can start pumping in more money.

Exactly, this would help prevent wastage and losses. You can easily make mistakes and learn from these mistakes as a small business owner but you can't try to or afford making mistakes for a big oner.
It is good to start with a small business to avoid problems if you lack skills on how to manage your business. Despite small business but it could grow big if cared it to grow.
Starting business with small capital is a good idea to get a lot of practical experience of a business. Because we learn thing while we do it, listening something and it's implementation is not a kind of practical thing, on the other hand when we start a business with small capital there are much more room remain over there that we will learn a lot and we will show improvement step by step.
For someone like me who is afraid of taking major risks, I will establish a small business. There's nothing wrong with it. I can use it as a stepping stone to a larger venture in the future.

Very true, the story is actually what makes the business trustworthy by so many customers. These customers are emotionally attached to such success stories. Then again these experiences is what also makes the business owner stronger.
