I agree with you in that. Some customers have their own salesmen and convincing them to buy from you seems like trying converting the flow of a river to the opposite direction.

I think there are so many circumstances that you can't convince the customers to buy from you. This is because they may be purchasing from Others under the buy now pay later, BNPL policy.

One can even narrow it down to market segmentation. You pick a particular segment of the wider market and serve it. You would sell easily because you would be offering tailor made products or services for that market segment.
