The motive or the gifts?

I am pretty sure each and everyone of us have received gifts in one way or the other, it could be a gift form the office, a birthday gift or probably a wedding gift. That by the side which do you think is more important , the gift itself or the reason or motive behind the gift. For me i feel the motive behind giving the gift should be more important than the gift it self.

Very true, like a kid giving their parents a gift, the gift might not even be something of value. But what actually counts is why they gave you the gift and the amount of love they place in it.

The motive behind every gift is what matters. Sometimes, a gift will be cheap but the motive makes it priceless and worthwhile. I received a novel from my uncle when I was still a teenager, I still value it.
