Yes tourism is a major revenue generator in Nepal. I have travelled to Nepal once for "Pashu Pati nath" temple but I didn't like the things in Nepal. People were not nice to us may be they dont like Indians.

Corona show us how economy can't lean on only on tourism. When corona stopped everything biggest hit had countrys with tourism as main income. Nobody couldn't travel and spend money as tourist.

Tourism is more like a government home owned business in a country where the government are responsible and business-oriented but for an individual to engage and also sap from the revenue tourism creates is by building an agency that is a travel agency to a country where tourism is taken serious.
