I was still in college when I got exposed to a travel Agency Business because my aunt owns one and we go there to do part time work. It was a profitable venture because our office was located in the lobby of the hotel so there were walk in clients plus the office is very accessible. The internet era slowed down the business when people can easily access booking directly. Will you consider getting into this kind of business venture?

It can be a very profitable business in the long term since people will always want to travel and there are still many people who prefer to go directly to the travel agency to hire the services, but it is true that they do not adapt to the times and therefore to Internet is a mistake, it must be on both sides both physically and virtually to maximize customers and profits

That is true. In my case I rather book directly online rather than through a travel agent.
Travel agency business used to be very profitable. A lot of travel agencies closed down here due to Covid. With the lifting of most restrictions, people are keen to travel again, but many people prefer to book their trip via online travel sites such as Trivago, Expedia etc.

Travel agencies are not as popular as they used to be. Now a days many online services are there which are cheaper and convenient. But then I have seen a case here in our neighborhood where one travel agent revived his business. He went online and then went ahead with some unique features that is lacked in these overused online services...like going for local spots and cuisines that is not so well commercial. They also provide a custom made package depending on your requirements. Their business is doing very good. It's all about the uniqueness and innovation to revive the business.

Though the advancement in technology and access to Internet has made it easier for anyone to plan a travel or vacation on their own, it still needs some time and efforts put in there to research, plan and execute. Many don't like that hassles and would prefer some paid service to do that for them. So, it your budget supports you , you can always go to them.
The pandemic actually affected the business. In fact most of travel agency went bankrupt. Most of travel agency have closed or looking for alternative business to sustain the business. Now the economy of the world is shrinking , people are looking for means to survive.
I am not sure about the future of this business but for the time being it is still profitable.

I agree with you. It's time consuming to do the bookings, looking up for good rates and good destinations especially when you travel in group.
