I think this is a popular trend nowadays, and I think it has become popular because it works. I think many people get influenced by the promotion of influencers these days and end up purchasing the products that are promoted.

The influencer must be relevant to the field of business you are doing because where he is relevant in is where his audiece would be majorly drawn from. You can not use someone who is just famous for twerking to advertise baby products.

If you have the marketing cost for that, do it, pick the right influencers who suitable for your product or business.
