I actually know a lot of people that does hair for others and didn't have a shop of their own yet, they are all doing it in their various houses and people have known them for that and some even prefer them to those who own shop because theirs is lesser.

That is true. They don't charge much because they don't have to pay for shop rent. It is convenient for nursing mothers that have the skill to still make money and still nurse their babies.
