Virginia bans Chinese apps on State networks

Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin has banned any product (including TikTok, WeChat) made by ByteDance Ltd. or Tencent Holdings Ltd. from being used on any state government equipment or network. Yangqin considers Chinese apps as a security threat.

This is what I am claiming even before. There is a security issue when using these apps. I also think that India banned them before, too.

I do not see the reason why the Chinese apps will be taken or regarded as a security threat.

They must have heard some informations about China planning on attack maybe that is reason why the block close apps.

Well they have every right to do so, the best thing to do is to provide substitute apps for the citizens to replace the ones they have banned within the country.

Americans is trying hard to limit China growing influence on United States domains and territories. Equally, Chinese government don't allow use of Facebook on China territories because they are afraid of American political and economic influence on their citizens. United States and China are two dominant forces who will always contend for supremacy
