Were you ever fired from work? What was your reaction?

I have not experienced this situation. I just left a job some years ago because that job caused me a lot of stress.

I was sacked 4 years ago from work for reasons best known to the Manager. I felt it though but my next step was to do aggressive job hunt. I got another job 6 months later. What was your own reaction?

I believe that they should always tell a staff the reason why they are being sacked. It will be so wrong not to give them that information.

What was that job? Yes, we should leave such jobs. I have left more than 5 jobs before joining the present one where I have been working for the last 16 years. . I know how painful it is when someone has to quit a job without having any other source of income.

I have not experienced it because am self employed . This is one of the reason why I hate working for someone . Managers use to abuse workers without regard to their self esteem.

No, this is not everywhere. You should not consider all managers bad, some people go to the extreme level for organisation goal or their benefits.

When I graduated from High School my major was Vocational Machine Shop and after a couple of jobs in Aircraft Factories I ended up working in Job Shops that specialized in harder jobs and usually only had from a few to a handful of employees. Changing jobs was commonplace in that kind of work in Los Angeles where I lived, but it was usually a mutually agreed on arangement and jobs were so plentiful and shared among few experienced enough to do good work, that it was easy to reach a decision to move on and roll your toolbox down the street and be back to work at another shop in a matter of minutes. Years later I ended up owning a Job Shop of my own and the pay is very good.

My job was a teaching job. It is not bad to change jobs until we find the best one for us.

Here the teaching job is very good as there is less stress involved in it. There are lots of holidays, unlike the corporate job. Also, they don't have to do a job after 8 hours.

So sorry for that, I have never been fired from work, before you even think of firing me, I have already left on my own peacefully and without any issues.

Exactly, I believe that every challenge we face is an opportunity to grow and learn. I try to keep that perspective, even in the toughest of times.

It's disheartening to experience setbacks when trying to balance family obligations, personal reputation, and loan payments. I have found myself in this situation twice in my 20-year career and it has taken a toll on me emotionally. Despite feeling overwhelmed, I know I need to find a way to manage these challenges and accept the outcome, even if it is beyond my control.

I was never fired from work. I was promoted to a regular employee after 2 years of working instead of 3 years. I was so glad at that time.

Yeah I think government ministries do those , I don't know about the private corporation but people should always know why they are sacked

They didn't fire me. I put in my resignation letter by myself. At a point, I felt I was bigger than the company. After two years, I had to leave.
