Planning and preparation are generally linked to good performance, whereas such factors are often lacking in poor performance. A well-motivated and high-performing workforce cannot be expected from management if sufficient planning is not done. Both praising and correcting must be done honestly, and it's crucial to distinguish between correcting a performance and correcting an individual. Although we still need to be sensitive when improving the performance of the employees.

I do agree that it is best to upgrade oneself in terms of handling the respective jobs in the company. There are times that some co-workers would not like to share their expertise. For the reason that they are your competitors for a promotion.

In recent years, many companies do require applicants to be computer literate. It is how they need to upgrade oneself. When I graduated from my university, I took short-term courses about computers to be more competitive against the other applicants.

You have to be courteous to your staff n if they do something wrong, call them in to your office and correct them. Do not side a customer over a staff on terms of conflict. Just correct with love.
