What can your manager do, to ensure you feel valued, motivated, and engaged in your work?

Encouraging words such as "well done, keep it up" would help to motivate me. More decision-making power, getting a pay raise, performance bonus or promotion would make me feel valued.

The best thing I will do is to do the right thing at the right time even without the manager or any other person telling me what I'm supposed to do when I know the things I should do

I think there should be monetary rewards even if they are small rewards and employees can also be motivated by allowing them to get their preferred work shift and days off

I think it depends on the policies of the company.
for example there is a company that does nt appreciate their workers no matter what. even if a customer gives the company money to give workers they won't but that does not mean there are no company that appreciate their workers.

Exactly if someone respects you that gives you energy and passion i can never choose any other person than a motivating person that makes a whole difference in what you do with best of your skills

One thing a manager should be able to do is take note of the little things. Not everything has to be solved with money. But if i notice someone always take note of the little things like when i am upset, when i am excited, when i get a new shoe or even a pen, i would definitely get that feeling that i am valued. Appreciate the little efforts they put in.
