Every company has its culture. So does every person. Should a staff be forced to align with company culture even if his personal principles would be hurt.

For instance, forcing a muslim staff to attend morning devotion

Company policy overules any personal principles. A member of a staff would have to consider the policy of the company unless where such policy is detrimental to his personal safety.

I believe in living and letting others live too. If I find out that my company policy clashes with a staff's personal conviction, I would ascertain the level of the clash. And make adjustments if the clash is substantial.

That depends. I think in the case of the Muslim being forced to attend morning devotion, that shouldn't happen because a company should respect the employees' religious practice.

I am always for respect of another's personal issues. I don't force my religion down the throat of my colleague. It's good to live and let others live.

Before the staff accept his or her job, he or she needs to read the contract before signing. It means that it will not cross the line of his or her principles if it was being signed before working in the company.

It is not everything that you see in the course of your work that was included in the agreement. You won't understand my brother.

Most companies don't respect their staff's personal lives. They impose anything on the staff without considering how it would affect that staff. It is bad and condemnable.

Before applying for the job, i am pretty sure the company tells you all their principals, so it is expected that you go through them to decide if you can work there or not.

They don't tell you no principles before applying and some things they don't even let you know while negotiating your terms. I was shocked to see staff in my former workplace gather to pray on the first day of the month. And I was I thought I was working for a secular organization.

I as a person always respects the stance and opinions of others as far as it doesn't a direct negative bearing on my business. I allow people to freely act and express their beliefs and principles while working with me.

The best possible way to even avoid the potential clash beforehand is by letting the employee know the company's policy, if it appeals to the employee he or she can go ahead and accept the offer, else he or she can exit and look for somewhere else and apply for job.

No one can be forced to participate in any kind of religion simply because he is working in a company and I believe that this is something that will be made clear when you are employed, so you either accept it or decline.

I have actually seen cases where an organization tells a staff that prayers is part of their company culture and it is compulsory for all staff without recourse to the religion of the staff.

I think the culture of staff members should be respected, especially those associated with religion and cultural practices. I usee to work in a Muslim restaurant and I am glad that they never forced me to engage in their religious practices.

That is true and is so good. It is pertinent that organizations don't push their values on their staff. They are independent individuals that have a private life of their own before working in your organization.

I believe that any company or any organisation should not force a worker to do something that the person does not want to. The fact that we are working under someone does not mean that we should not be free

Some organizations don't have respect for the principles of their staff. They would claim that the staff not honoring it's culture would make the company not to progress. I believe staff should be allowed to take their own stance in an organization.

A staff is a member of the company either directly or indirectly so we should always learn to listen to them whenever they say something or bring up an idea or even make a complaint in the workplace
