For me, I cannot conceal my feelings against of something. Even if he or she is my boss, I still need to voice out my opinions. Besides, there is no right or wrong in expressing one's opinions. You are hired not to be like a dummy or puppet.

I would voice out my opinion. I think a good boss doesn't want to be surrounded by just "yes" men/women. In this case, wrong decisions will be made easily.
At that point in time the best and wise thing to do is to keep quiet or respectfully ignore your boss, then when he or she comes back to his or her senses, you can now proceed to tell him about your opinion of the matter.
I will definitely do nothing if it pertains to the work ethics and production. But if it involves salary, I will stick to my ground or I will call it a day with the organization.
I always express my opinion. It does not matter if this person is a friend of mine or my boss.
I've seen some people that get themselves sacked from their job for expressing their opinion which is why I don't try it at all with my boss.
If I know that the project wouldnsurely fail, I wouid just step aside from my role in the project. That's because I don't want to be seen to be part of a failed project.
I know. Unfortunately, these things happen. Some employers do not accept the opinions of their employees. I hope that your boss is not too strict.
This is going to be seen as a total disobeying of your superiors orders and in most cases, you would get fired for such behaviours in a particular company.
Even when you are expressing your contrary views to your boss, be sure that you use every sense of humility to express it. Don't condemn or criticise his approach. Just tell him Why you think your opinion can be better.
