What do you think about funeral home service business

I hear that this business is very lucrative as a lot of money is charged to attend to a corpse still time for burial. What do you think of it. Can you go into the business for the money worth?

Yes it is a lucrative business but I can do it. In my area the are brothers that are into the business and they are earning well.

I know that it is lucrative in Nigeria but people are not really interested to go into the business though

This is a business I will never venture in to no matter what and many others won't ,that makes the business very lucrative for someone with a metal heart. Although there are a few things that should be learned before starting such.

Yes i have also heard about this before, that they usually pay most of them well, and even the chemicals used to preserve the body is very expensive. But i do not think i want to go into this line of work though.

It's a strange business in my country, I just heard of this kind of business. In my opinion, it is not ethical to have fun at the expense of people's suffering, even a gravedigger should not see this as a business, but as an effort to help other people bury their bodies, while money is a bonus for what he is doing. Because in my country there are also many voluntary grave diggers without pay.

This business must be managed by someone with an iron heart not because of the nature of the work to be done but in collecting the payment. Most funeral parlor collects money before the burial and they really pressure the family of the bereaved to pay in full. It's more profitable for them to connect with the local government so that it's the government that pays. Local government extends help to indigent families in times of bereavement.

In my country the business does not do well. This is because the public hospitals usually have extensions for the funeral homes within the facilities and they charge relatively cheap to compete with it.

In Croatia we have public companys who do such jobs and private companys can only make coffins. Salary on this jobs is not so good and there is lack of workers. Also job is very stressful since you attend funerals on daily basis. I would choose other job.

I have a friend changed his career of owning this kind of business. He is quite a weird soul, but I respect his decision. For him, it is a greener pasture business.
