What do you think about wearing uniforms in the workplace?

Some organizations have uniforms and demand that their staff should wear uniforms. I understand that it is an attempt to create orderliness in the workplace. And to prevent the staff from wearing whatever they like to work.

I personally hate uniforms. Most people do too as they have to be carrying their uniforms in their bags and only wear once they get to their workplace? What do you think of uniforms and the workplace.

If you are employed to work for an organization, you don't have any reason not to wear the uniform of that organization. It is what identifies you as a staff of that organization. You must be proud of where you work.

The idea behind the uniform you see in any organization is that you belong to a group. Uniforms are quite colorful and beautiful but it's not just my kind of thing so I'd advice you obey so you would fit in perfectly.

It is not a bad thing to put on uniform at work place. The important thing is what the company is doing and what the company is ready to offer

I know that some staff don't want people to know that they are working in a particular organization. If I work in a place that has uniforms, I would proudly wear it. Except it is ugly.

I don't see any bad thing about putting on a uniform at the work place. it is just to keep it clean and continue with the work The important thing is that you are paid

It's important that there is a uniform form the workers. In our organisation we give clothing allowance of 6000 pesos a year or about 120 dollars so we should be able to allocate some amount for our uniform which is usually a polo shirt and a pair of slacks and polo. Any excess we can buy for other needs like shoes, denims.

When I worked with the private sector I didn't wear uniform because it's not called for.in relations to my job. I only wear uniform now on some days of the week, on other days I wear anything casual..

My current job doesn't really demand that I wear uniforms. It just demands that I wear corporate Mondays to Wednesdays. I am free to wear a native or cultural attire on Thursdays and I rock casual on Fridays.

I wish we will also be required to wear a national costume on a particular day of the week and not just on any occasion. It happened many years ago.during the centennial celebration of our country.

You know my country is very cultural. All over the country, workers across all organizations and industries wear cultural clothes on Thursdays. It is always a much needed break from suiting up.

it you are expected to wear uniforms to work then you should do as expected. There's nothing wrong with that you have to just obey to engage yourself in the job

It depends on the kind of job that you're doing. If it's something that requires wearing a uniform, there's nothing wrong with it. The uniforms makes you to belong.

I think it is about some corporation needing people to be on uniform it is good to have this mindset that it is the rule that must be obey so you obey

Personally, uniforms are not really a bad thing to wear in a work setting, because many jobs due to their nature will actually require one to put on uniform and dress properly, take for example, if you are a chef or an engineer in a manufacturing company, you have to dress with your safety boots, company approved coverall and all the necessary outfits needed.

Wearing uniforms at work places are what only big companies are doing for their workers. You hardly see management officials wearing uniforms.
Well, wearing uniforms only makes the company to look corporate. It is also means of identifying their genuine workers within the company premises.

Banks and restaurants here require workers to wear uniforms. I personally do not see any problem with that requirement. It enables customers to easily identify the staff/workers and ask for help.

Wearing uniforms at work can be similarly liken with students wearing uniforms to school. I personally don't see anything wrong in it. It makes them look corporate and identifiable. Workers are easily identified from one another by the uniforms.
