It is nice that you can read my mind about it. There are times that some hired employees cannot decide for themselves and they need the approval of their bosses. They tend to be cautious because of being scared to be blamed of.I understand your caution. It is important to make sure you are following your boss's instructions, but it is also important to use your own discretion and judgement when making business decisions. The assumption was that at the material time, he was not readily available to be contacted.
