In the business world, there are some managers that can be tagged as bad with their subordinates. These managers are sometimes the product of nepotism. The impact is that they are not competent enough to carry-out their respective jobs. At some point, they usually take the credits of what their team had successfully done in the company. This is one of the sad downsides of being an incompetent manager.

I think poor manager has the following attributes.
1. No vision
2. Poor leadership skills
3. Poor communication skills
4. Poor organizational skills
5. Not delegate work to subordinates properly
6. Do not know how to motivate subordinates
Overall speaking, poor manager are incompetent in leading his/her department to achieve the goals.

A bad manager is autocratic. He doesn't know how to manage the staff to get optimum results. And he doesn't know how to optimize the resources available to achieve the goals of the organization.

You are right, some of them are just like this and see themselves as the most superior staff and see others as their subordinates and this feeling would not allow them listen to others opinion as they always feel their own opinion matters a lot.

If our manager does not even listen to us and doesn't motivate those that are doing well and not finding any way to motivate workers and staff then we can term them as bad manager
