In my opinion, customer representative needs to know the company's products or services by heart. If he or she is knowledgeable with these things, then how he or she can solve the problems of the clients. Moreover, he or she needs to be updated with the new features of services in his or her company. I hope he or she could do this accurately.

There is no way you are going to work as a customer service representative without knowing everything there is to know about the company's product because it is exactly what the customers will be coming to complain about and you need to know exactly the feedback to give them.

There is no way you are going to work as a customer service representative without knowing everything there is to know about the company's product because it is exactly what the customers will be coming to complain about and you need to know exactly the feedback to give them.
You are right. Unfortunately, some companies are using automated answers for certain concerns. Personally speaking, I still prefer being assisted by humans who are well-equipped customer service in the company.

One vital skill that customer care reps need to improve is their ability to listen. A customer care rep is not expected to be a talkative but an astute listener. This is so because it would help him to have a full grasp of a customer's complain and concerns.
