When can saving be hurtful

But before you can do the investing you must need some savings to fund your investment portfolio's. So the savings is the ultimate center for investment and everything in a matter of fact

You cannot invest if you do not have certain amount of money that you have save or set aside for investment.

We need to save to prepare for rainy days. I don't see saving can be hurtful. That said, given the current low interest rate, if you just save, it doesn't help you to fight inflation. And your wealth will not grow if you do not make any investment.
