There is a lady who always comes to our work area and sells sandwiches, muffins, cereal with flavoured youghurts and fruit salad every morning, normally 30 mins before our tea break. She always leaves having sold everything in the compund. Would you consider this as a way to earn?

I would definitely consider this as a way to earn money yes. You never know how someone's morning could have gone and when they come into work they may not have eaten you could be the one reason that they do eat because you offer something like that in the work place. Something like food and drink in the work place will always be popular I feel.
I would say it is a way to earn some money. It's better if you have built up some loyal customers so that they know you'll be around to sell the foods they like at certain hours.
That might be what the people need. That seller knew the people surrounding her so she sells what they need. It's a good business but it might not last. Another sellerd selling the same might come to compete her business. And that's normal.
It depends on several factors such as the industry, market demand, competition, management, financials, and more. It's best to carefully evaluate each business and compare it against specific criteria that are important to you, such as potential growth, profitability, and alignment with your personal and financial goals.
The most important thing is that money is entering hand. Once you are earning money through your effort or skills, it is already a way of making money.
Though it seems easy but the workload of preparing, hawking and selling it is not a simple task. She deserves her pay. Don't envy her.

If there is the possibility of you selling everything you have to self in your locality, I believe that it is a very good business for you to go into and make money from it.
Its a good business, she knows her target audience and use is making use of that perfectly fine. Due to busy schedule people hardly find time for themselves, let alone cook. Since they are already aware she would be coming so their mind is already set on buying.
For me I think business is better and there is no any bad business. Say there are some highly profitable businesses and the others that are less profitable. The highly profitable business are capital intensive while the less profitable businesses require less capital to start.
The performance of a business is totally dependent on the demand of the people in that area.
I wouldn't say any business is better but some businesses that tend to be more successful than others include service businesses, such as consulting or accounting; e-commerce businesses; and subscription businesses. It's also important to consider your location, target market, and the resources you have available.
