When I see free advertisements, I usually skip them with more annoyance than regular paid advertisements, probaly due to the fact that when I see paid advertisements, I have already anticipated them, therefore, it is less "disrupting" in a way. I also think companies can reach a wider audience since paid advertisements force viewers to consume the advertisements, and viewers have no control to remove the ad. Therefore, paid advertisements portray the effect of an advertisement better than free advertisements.
