Both of them are possible in business. Sometimes formal way in business can cause delay of imposing something. At some point, informal can be effective once done by others especially during the urgent matter.

If you're looking for an effective business you cannot actually determine which one is more effective between informal and formal business. it all depends on how you are able to run the business.

I think a balanced approach is best in business. You want to be professional and respectful but at the same time, you also want to be approachable and relatable. So maybe a combination of both formal and informal would be the most practical way to go.

You are very correct on this. Applying both informal and formal is very important. That is why flexibility in business is needed.

For you to have a stable flow, i believe there needs to be a stable flow of both. There should be time where things can be done and handled informally, while there are also periods where you can do things formally.

I think it depends on the disposition of the employees in that organization. In my former workplace, we were mostly informal but formal when there was a need to be formal.

It depends your workplace and the dressing policy. I worked on summer at a 5 star hotel and oh boy i wish i could have wore a shirt and some crocs instead of a tuxedo.

In my opinion, both are needed, if during working hours then a professional and formal attitude is still needed, if outside working hours we can be relaxed and have light discussions or other informal attitudes that are not related to work.

You don't have to be too bossy or autocratic. I had a boss like that. I left her work like it didn't exist. The next minute, she was calling me to come back, I turned her down.

Lol, that is how some people behave. they always feel too bossy and I don't think that is good because a lot of good workers will leave.
