Micromanagers are overly-involved Bossess or employers who observe or instruct workers to an excessive degree. these are employers or Bosses that calls for excessive meetings and overly ask for account of work almost every minute

The truth is that micromanagement is one of the most sign of a bad manager. These are people thats can negatively affect employee morale and even way of life at work.

Yes! They say that too many cook spoil the brood. There is always one captain in a ship once they are more than one, there is possibility of distractions, counterproductive consequences etc. The success of an organization depend solely on how the organisation allow the manager to do his work.

Micromanagement can be stressful for both parties...the one who is trying to do it and the one who is being micromanaged. No one likes to be the subject of micromanagement. We all enjoy the breathing space and freedom at workplace or else it can be choking. Micromanagement can make the work place a hostile environment.

Micromanagement in any kind of relationship, be it professional or personal, is a recipe for disaster. No one would appreciate that. People perform well when they sense freedom and trust. They also feel more responsible when they are given space to think and act.

Micro managers see their subordinate staff as robots. They are insensitive to their feelings. Those kind of bosses do not get things achieved for all the strictness they exhibit.

A good manager would never be a micromanager. When you are working with Human beings and have the responsibility to keep them motivated and encouraged to deliver, you need to have some basic understanding of Human Psychology. No human being wants to be choked and instructed for every single thing.

It's because some of them don't understand the psychology behind human management. Some of those managers come from autocratic backgrounds and try to replicate such in their careers.

The best managers are those who are a good team player too. They are in control of the situation but don't come out as overpowering one. They create an environment of ease and comfort, so that the employees feel valued and happy. This would lead to better performance at the work.
Micromanagement can be stressful for the managers too. It can actually take a toll on their mental health too.

I believe this is also someone that constantly wants to be in control. They always make sure every decision goes through them and they have to make the final say.

A micromanager always involves in day-to-day tasks of his/her staff. S(he) needs to be in control of everything. It is a sign of mistrust and may affect the morale of the staff seriously.

I do agree that managers know what they are doing at work. At some point, they were evaluated by the subordinates during the performance evaluation. It is usually conducted by the HR Department annually.
