Probably, many serious business ventures always take that very seriously. The new suppliers need to prove that they are much better than the former one before they come start collaborating.

One of the variables considered in this trial period is the ability to deliver on schedule. If the supplier consistently meets up, he becomes number 1.

Probably, if the new supplier is able to deliver on schedule then he or she will be one step ahead. Some businesses do it to determine the seriousness of the new supply.

You are right. They can ask for the trial-and-error basis before ordering from these suppliers massively. I think it does happen in the every business industry around the globe. It is a good option that can be offered by the suppliers to their target buyers.

They have to weigh their options and try other suppliers alos to pick which supplier would favour them on terms of cost, timeliness and quality. It is after trying out others that they now choose who would be their regular supplier.

AA lot of people claim that they know what they are doing when it comes to being a supplier which is why you need to put them on a trial to know that they will always deliver before you give them longer contracts.
