Why are websites switching to Tipalti for making payment?

In September, Iwriter which was using Paypal, switched to Tipalti for making payment to writers. I have noticed that some other websites are also using Tipalti. Does anyone know why websites are switching to Tipalti for making payment, since the recipients gets a lower amount?

I think the website owners enjoy some discounts on using it. However the recipients (users) suffer higher transaction fees

What is this tipati account and how is it better than paypal?. There must have been some benefits those site are enjoying which is at detriment to their customers.

This is the first time that I will be hearing about the payment processor. Maybe because of the transaction fee of PayPal that made them to switch

I am not 100% sure if I have ever heard about this payment option but could be its available on websites of which I am not part of

They definitely have their reasons. One of the possibilities could be that maybe their members are having issues with PayPal or the charges paypal give is just too much for them.

I am not sure if the tipalti can overthrow PayPal. Like in my country PayPal is the only online payment processor that is authorised and supported by the government of the day.
