Why do kids like to watch cartoons?

I have observed most of the kids like to watch cartoon movies. Almost all the kids have their favourite cartoon and they think of them as their heroes.

When I was a kid I used to watch spiderman the most he was my superhero and used to think he will come to save me whenever I get stuck in any tough situation.

Kids think cartoons as real because they act like real characters. Kids of my sisters also like cartoons. When I was a child I like Cinderella and Pinocchio

Basically, cartoon characters looks so colorful and they do a lot of actions. They were all designed to entertain and capture the young ones.
