Although gambling can cause many people to lose money and become depressed, I think it is a personal decision. Why do you think some governments are so strict on gambling?

Yes, in some countries it is prohibited due to religious issues, but in countries like Ukraine and others that are not religious, gambling is prohibited if I am not mistaken. What do you think is the reason for these countries?

I actually do not why the Government would prohibit Gambling. Since Gambling is a personal choice just like investment. Gamblers should be allowed to gamble as they wish, Though with caution. But I also do not know the reason why a Government could prohibit Gambling.

It depends from country to country and their reasons would be different. It's right that some countries ban it for religious reasons. There are some that allow some form of gambling but not others. Like in India, buying lottery tickets from certain recognised agency is allowed but sports betting is illegal.

Why is gambling prohibited? because gambling will damage the mentality and many other negative impacts, damage the economy and increase crime, reduce morale. I have seen and even experienced what you are saying (losing all my money) but in the end I think it is a personal decision and cannot be a crime. A gambler is not in a good mood and we need to help him. This is not a crime

In my location, HK Jockey Club is the only licensed gambling operator which offers horse race betting, football betting and sell lottery tickets. I think the government is trying to ensure that gambling opportunities are not excessive and possible harm to the community is minimized.

Exactly. They could create a safe market and everyone would benefit in the end but they decide to fight them. In any case, people will gamble, but in an unsafe way

In my home country, gambling is a crime but investing in casinos and gambling companies are legit business as long as this businesses and casinos prohibits the locals from playing and only allows foreigners to gamble.
