Why most companies go for older employees

These days companies usually go for young employees, cause they feel these set of people would be more creative and as well have the strength and stamina to do their jobs. While this might be true, there are still companies out there that still go for older employees. They feel an older or more mature employee would have a leveled head, and would handle things more maturely than someone who is just starting his career. Personally i believe the young ones need to be given a chance as well.

Certain businesses in which employees do not necessarily need to have a lot of physical strength may opt to hire older persons so as to benefit from the fact that this age group has the tendency of performing work tasks to near perfection.

I think that many companies go for either old employees or too young. They need a specific kind of person in order to take advantage of. This is how many companies engage in unethical practices.

There are job roles that require older people. They bring a huge wealth of experience both in life and professionally to the organization. Consultancy positions and managerial positions are exclusives for oldies.

When you hire older people, they bring experience and are able to mentor the young ones in the organization based on that superior experience. In fact, every organization should have at leas one of these older employees in an organization so younger employees can look up to.

Old people are actually full of experiences and tend to correct and take actions when situation is about going out of hand.I think these companies should still hire young people along side so as to learn from the old ones after they retire from working and then take over.

The reason why some companies gov forb older workers isv that older workers who had worked in several companies had gained lots of experience the company can utilize. They don't have time to start training young workers.

Yes hi tech companies would prefer to employ younger generations. But some companies are not like that. They would prefer old workers who are experienced to work with them.

I think that older people have much experience. Apart from experience, they also lead other people in the organisation. This could prove to be helpful to many people who are working in the organisations.

Even with the hi tech companies, the managerial staff are older heads because they have the reasoning to make decisions that are well thought out. They reflect wider than the younger ones.
