I came across someone some time back who said he does not need to find an extra method to motivate his workers cause he pays them to work, so their salary should be enough motivation for them. Though looking at this from another angle it makes sense to some extent but one reason why extra motivation is needed in a business setup is that it encourages the employees to do more than what they would normally do. Hence doing their very best.
