Why people don't like investing?

People would not like interesting because they do not want to take any risk.

There are people despite having a big capital feel afraid to invest. The usual answer for those I asked was they are afraid to gamble, but I refuted that building a business is not a gamble if you have the passion for it, if you have the skills, and if you know what your business is all about.
You are right, not everyone is familiar with the investment world, but consciously or not they are already involved in it, like my mother likes to buy and save gold, and can be used as an emergency fund. There are also people who like to buy land and residential properties and they can make passive income from the money they rent.

That's right not all are familiar with investment unless they're inclined with investment. The children follow the Footsteps of the parents, so if parents are business minded they're children will inherit the investment founded by their parents.
Investment is always associated with risk and there is always the possibility of failure or losing money. However, we like to predict the future as we like, but sometimes it goes against our wishes. Sometimes we are afraid of failing again, but that's life.
If you are a conservative investor, you can choose safer investments, such as mutual funds, bonds, gold and property. The value of gold and property will always increase every year, so you don't need to be afraid of loss or failure, even though gold has a small yield, it can be used as a hedge.
I agree. This is what we have to do. The problem is that due to the bad economic conditions, people are looking for an escape route so that they can get out of the pressure and pay their debts, but most of the time, the situation get worse

Those who disregard investing may have their strong reasons but we can speculate reasons why they do not like to invest. Perhaps they lack capital, are afraid to lose, afraid to be broke of become addicted to investment which he lacks knowhow.
you're right. I think so too. I have had bad experiences in the past and today I try to invest only in things like gold which are not risky. It's because I don't want to fail anymore. I am not an 18-year-old teenager. I can't fail anymore

That's good to hear that you are investing gold. It never depreciates but appreciates. Hoping you won't have a bad experience again. It hurts.
Every one wants to play safe when it comes to the hard earned money. We can not call them cowards. We all have different financial obligations, capacity and risk appetite. So, each one of us take a financial decision based on that. Unless we have too much of surplus money, most of us like to play safe at least to start with.
People do not invest for a variety of reasons. Some lack money. They only earn enough to make a living. Some are not into taking risks. They prefer to keep money in fixed deposit accounts. Some lack the skills and knowledge and do not know where to start. I started investing in stocks, bonds and mutual funds many years ago. I think this is effective way to make my money grow. My investment appetite is conservative. I invest in blue chip, dividend paying stocks.
People don't want to invest because they are afraid of business because business could be dangerous sometimes.
People do not like investing due to the fact that there have been so many cases of people who invest and they ended up loosing their money due to scam. Or some just do not like investing because they do not have any knowledge about it.

Those who don't like to invest lack interest. They are afraid thinking that investment is like gambling. They don't see the real thing. They're thinking not the gains but mostly losses. And we cannot blame them.
