Why some youth are not choosing farming as a career?

From my perspective, one important reason that make most of the youth not to choose farming as a career is because they perceived farming as outdated business. What's your opinion?

To be perfectly honest, it's very correct that there are so many challenges that are associated with farming and animal unpredictable weather patterns is one of them .

There are so many youth That may not realize that there are diverse career opportunities in the agricultural sector and agribusiness.

As someone who has been there, I've also come to realize that there's a lack of awareness on the importance of agriculture and that's why the youth find it unattractive.

In my humble opinion, there is a wrong notion that farming is solely associated with manual labor and also with a very low income as well.

It's worth noting that there are rapid urbanization and which makes the move to the cities and this contributed to the decline in their interest in farming.

The lack of land for farming as made many young farmers to find farming very unattractive and it's a significant barrier.

If we highlight the importance of the values in farming, it will make it a very attractive business for the young people.

It's not secret that farming requires resilience and dedication if you want to achieve success in it and that is what most of the youth do not have .

From my point of view, it is neccessary to address the root causes of of the problems in farming and this would make the youth choose it farming as a career.

Managing a farm is not easy Apart from getting the right kind of helpers it also needs supervision and that can only happen if they have interest in this kind of business.

People in my country regard farming as a profession for the dirty people. That's the sole reason why you don't see the youths in my country take up farming. And we are suffering from food scarcity.
