In some business ventures it is always required for workers to submit their mobile phones during work hours especially in factories. This is because they always operate heavy machines and distraction is not needed.

That's true, beside the fact that phones would be a huge distraction and would stop them from having good production, it could also lead to death as well, as some of these machines like you said are dangerous and needs a lot of concentration to work with them.

The best reasons that they may give are that;
The management would like all the workers to focus and considerate on the job being done on the workplace which may prevent accidents among other incidents.

There is no way a worker is going to concentrate very well doing his or her job when they are pressing their smartphone working in the factory and this can actually result in disaster at work.

Although I personally don't like the idea of people being a way from there phone just because they are working I think it's the best idea because people aren't disciplined enough to be separated from there phone

The reason why they make or prohibit workers from making use of mobile phone is simply because it is an avenue for distraction, and thus it will make workers become very unproductive and lackadaisical towards discharging their duties.

A lot of them may also get carried away by the activities that they are doing on their phone and working in the factory may be very risky so it is better not to work or not to use phone in the factory
