Why writers accept low payments?

I have written an article for as low as 50 cents. Do you know why? Well, I did not have any income source and I desperately needed money. However, sometimes I can be very complacent and ask for $50 just for one article.

I have also done the same. I had no choice than to accept the offer. If I did not accept it, I may not have any money during that time.

This happens with most of us, there will be some difficult days in our lives in which we should accept lower payments for difficult jobs but as time passes our experiences will help us to earn more for our tasks.

Well, when you are in competition you don't know what else to do than to lower your price to get more customers. But you would still increase it with time

That's very true. When you work on the freelance platforms like Upwork, you will always have to bid for a lower amount in a hope to get the contract, and you end up working for lesser amount.

Definitely , it is better that way as a beginner to be able to capture to he clients when you have the job you would be able to show your skills to get paid more in future.

The major thing is that it is better to begin all of these things early than late so that you will find your stance

That's the way to go just browse through to know the areas you should adopt so that you can make money off it as early as possible. it can be done.

I dont really blame them in most cases though. Due to competition, a lot of writers have downgraded their services charging extremely low so even the professionals have to charge low if they want to survive. Let's take graphic designing for instance, mockup logo usually cost around 10k to even 20,000 in my local currency but most graphic designers are charging customers 3000, so imagine if i start charging them the actual worth, i wont get any customers. Its very annoying honestly.

Yes, sometimes a job is paid very cheaply, but behind it there are benefits with which we can make it an experience as a stepping stone for a better job. Example: I once worked in a clothing store for $2 a day, with quite heavy and many tasks. But with him I became tough and had the experience to build my own business.

There was a time when I needed money, so I reduced my price for writing article and I was able to be given work to do and I did more than ever

I think the main reason is competition. I am not into article writing. I have to spend sometime to write quality and lengthy articles. Since there are other options to make money online, I am not prepared to write articles for a low pay rate.
