Will competitions make you better?

Learning is not all that you should focus on, beside that you need experience too in order to be successful in what you are doing, and experience is gained as you are facing the competitions, I think competitions are making people better and they are changing them to a better version of themselves.

Competition helps us to think faster and helps use improve ourselves. Without competition, we are likely be lazy and selfish. Competition helps us to be up and doing. It helps us to brace up and face the challenges with all our gut. There is pride we take in outsmarting our competitors. It gives us the psychological boost and confidence.

One thing i have come to understand is that the results you get mainly depends on how you view things. Many see competition as way to make themselves better hence when faced with competition, they go further by learning more to improve themselves to be able to meet up to the challenge.
