I think that a person below the age of 18 should focus a lot on improving his skills rather than focusing a lot on making money. The fact of the matter remains that you cannot earn money until or unless you learn the right skills needed to make money.

Staying active could b a challenge if you have offline duties. I am a professional forum poster, so staying active is not a huge problem for me. Pay rates could be a very important aspect of a paid forum. However, I can understand that pay rates depend a lot on a forum's earnings.
