In the business world today, you can either work under someone or startup your own business. Working under someone means you get paid by the end of the month. There is always an assurance that your salary would come by month end. You do not have to worry about taking decisions and how the decisions would affect the business. Owning your own business on the other hand, means there is every possiblity you can earn more than you would ever be paid every month but then again, you have more work and responsibilities to handle.

I have worked for someone for many years. I do not mind working for someone. I can learn a lot from my boss and get a stable income. About 5 years ago, I decided to quit my full time job and work as a freelancer. Now, I control my work schedule and take up the challenge of be my own boss.
This is exactly what I plan to do. Ok think a lot of people have been brainwashed by motivational speakers into believing that being self employed is easy. Gaining some experience before setting off on your own will definitely give one an edge.

Well said, the fact that you have worked under others before means you have been able to gather enough experience to startup your own business and grow it from there. But most people simply just want to start their own without any kind of experience.
It's not really their fault. We now have a surge of motivational speakers who lure unsuspecting people to believe that anything is possible even with no skills or experience, just to sell their books or courses and make money with it.
Most people actually love to have their own business and make money from it, nobody likes to be pushed around in other people's business, having your own business provides you with more advantages and also sustains you forever.
I have been working under someone and working for clients. I also want to manage my own business. A business I can call my own and I don't have to comply with sso many rules and regulations being imposed in the organization.
Working for someone gives you a guaranteed source of income. That is the advantage but it might be stressful. Working for yourself would require patience to build but you have freedom over your life. It depends on personality and disposition. But I would personally prefer working for myself.
I don't own a business as I fear that I may not lose money if my business doesn't run. I work as an employee and I am happy to get paid some fixed amount at the end of the month but I am sacred when I think of the future after the retirement because I won't be having any means to earn money. If I had a business I would never retired. This is the major difference in a job and a business.
You must have the resources such as capital, passion and skills before you can decide to remain on vyour own. If you are lacking these resources, then you better stay employed.
I prefer self-employment. Because I don't like working under pressure from the boss. I want to work whenever I want. So, I decided to sell online and be active in several paid forums.
