Yeah. My forum was on MyBB for a while and I liked it, but then we got hacked and I didn't feel safe using their software anymore. Plus there was no alerts system on MyBB back then and XF had them! This was maybe 7 or 8 years ago. Been with XF ever since.

Sometimes I'd rather have a one minute phone call instead of texting back and forth for a half hour. But either way works for me. Indifferent to both.

I don't use any these days. I text with my family and friends and I do use zoom for work meetings if that counts.

I used free hosting in the early days of my "internet career" it helped me out when I was a newbie because all I had to master was the admin panel of my forum. Once I was comfortable with that I was able to move up to working with cPanel, FTP software, phpMyAdmin, etc.
